Logistics Clerk
Mineral Wells, TX
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to support daily logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping information accurate, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring shipments and records are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to support on-time delivery and receipt of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory movements, shipping documents, and related logistics data.
- Prepare, review, and file documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and receiving records.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, warehouse staff, and internal teams to resolve routine shipping or delivery issues.
- Track shipment status and update stakeholders on progress, delays, or discrepancies as needed.
- Support inventory reconciliation by comparing physical counts with system records and reporting variances.
- Enter and update information in spreadsheets, databases, or enterprise systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with scheduling pickups, deliveries, and other transportation-related activities.
- Help ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable shipping, receiving, and documentation requirements.
- Perform general clerical and administrative duties to support the logistics team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, warehouse administration, or office support preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving routine issues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with inventory management or transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with shipping terms, freight documentation, and basic warehouse operations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Customer service mindset when interacting with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
